Designing a new way of ageing
U. C. D. Belfield, O’Reilly Hall 2 June 10th
This event is from 11:00 – 12:00 pop in at any time.
Ireland is getting older, faster. Our attitudes to ageing and end of life care are changing. As a nation, we are living longer and our population is growing at a rapid rate.
Every year, until 2040, we will have 20,000 more people over the age of 65. With this significant shift in numbers, we are beginning to notice a change in Irish attitudes towards ageing and death. ‘Designing a new way of ageing’ seeks to open up the conversation that many of us are reluctant to have, ‘What happens when I am no longer able to look after myself.’ Join our expert panel of speakers to debate this emotive topic.
