Who can you turn to for help?
Date: Monday 18th April 2016
Venue: Oatland’s College, Stillorgan, Co Dublin.
Following a diagnosis of dementia, carers and families engage with a range of health-care professionals, depending on the needs of the person and their immediate carer / family. While some of these professionals are very familiar (e.g. the GP and Public Health Nurse), others may be new. It can be difficult to understand each professional’s role and how to access their services.
HSE Dublin South Living Well with Dementia is holding the information event for carers, family members of people living with Dementia. It is organised as an exhibition-style event, you will have the opportunity to meet and understand the role of healthcare professionals who may be involved in the care-plan of your family member and in supporting yourself as carer: GP, PHN, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Nutritionist, Clinical Psychologist, Psychiatry of Old Age, Social Work, Medicine for the Elderly, Speech and Language Therapist, Older Person Services (e.g. Fair Deal), Continence Promotion and the Safeguarding of Older People Service.
Each service will have a table with representative(s) for you to meet and relevant information.
If you no longer wish to receive information about our events, please let us know.
Hope to see you on 18th April 2016.
